Key initiatives for consideration during the
2006 annual conference session

Laity and clergy members of the Southwest Texas Annual Conference session will consider four key initiatives when they gather June 7-10 in Corpus Christi. Each initiative contributes to the conference’s efforts to empower ministries throughout Southwest Texas so we can offer Christ to all.

Bishop’s Initiative on New Church Development
A concerted effort, presented by the Commission on New Church development, to form partnerships to establish new congregations and ministries.

Clergy effectiveness task force
A measure from the Board of Ordained Ministry to authorize a task force to implement a clergy effectiveness plan. That plan is to be presented to the 2007 annual conference session.
