2012 Annual Conference June 7-10, 2012 American Bank Center Corpus Christi, Texas

New Dates The 2012 Conference will begin on Thursday the 7th with Registration and Worship and will conclude with Worship on Sunday morning the 10th at 10:30 am.   These dates reflect our new pattern of meeting on one fewer weekday and one additional weekend day.  It is  hoped that this will allow more participants from lay persons who were previously not able to take part in Conference because of their work schedule.  The Worship Services and Business Sessions are held at the American Bank Center and Selena Auditorium in Corpus Christi.  The Holiday Inn Emerald Beach and the Omni Hotels are the host hotels.  First United Methodist Church of Corpus Christi is the host congregation.  Resolution to Consider Union with Rio Grande Conference This will be an historical occasion.  There will be a resolution coming before the Conference to recommend to the South Central Jurisdiction that the Southwest Texas Conference and Rio Grande Conference come together during 2012-2016 to create a new Conference.  You may have already been to a listening session about this proposed unification.  There will be a number of opportunities to learn more.  For up to date information, click here.
