About Us
Huston-Tillotson College is the oldest institution of higher education in Austin, having been founded in 1875. It is the only United Methodist-related college within the bounds of the Southwest Texas Conference. H-T currently enrolls nearly 600 students from many ethnic backgrounds. The campus ministry offers Christian principles in an academic setting.
Each Wednesday morning, an ecumenical worship service is hosted by a different campus organization. It “brings in a crowd.” Two weekly Bible studies engage students in lively learning and conversation. You’ll see Campus Minister Don Brewington in many settings around campus bringing the ministry’s presence to campus life. Huston-Tillotson’s Campus Ministry, in partnership with H-T’s student government and student services, continues to sponsor service projects intended to bring the presence of Christ to students at Huston-Tillotson.
