Early Christian Awareness (E.C.A.)
A toddler’s first Sunday School experience is relaxed, engaging,
imaginative and fun! In the comfort of the church nursery,
toddlers (age 18-36 months) are introduced to Jesus Christ.
Early Christian Awareness (E.C.A.) is ministry to children that offers
them Christ. It’s so much more than child care during worship and Sunday School !
Specially trained adult care givers lead children in E.C.A. using a
variety of stimuli in the church nursery:
• Using our prayer hands and our bowed heads
• Bible stories through pictures and songs
• Play with toys, dolls, puzzles and seasonal crafts
• Celebration of each child’s individuality
• God’s special love for children and their families.
Lessons are brief and use repetition to meet the cognitive development of this age group.
