San Antonio United Methodist Campus Ministry UTSA
San Antonio United Methodist Campus Ministry provides a network for Christian ministry and leadership development among college students in the San Antonio area, with an active ministerial presence through registered student organizations at San Antonio College, UTSA (1604 and Downtown) and at Trinity University, institutions with a combined enrollment of over 50,000.
SAUMCM works with a diverse student population to involve students both on campus and off campus in a variety of activities including outreach, community life, spiritual life, social justice, and community service. Through a variety of internship and volunteer service opportunities, UMCM places students in ministry with other students, in the Church and in the world. Students regularly conduct outreach events and publicity campaigns, lead weekly worship and Bible study groups, organize projects for social justice, community service, and fellowship, and provide leadership in area churches. The Methodist Student Center, located next to San Antonio College, is an invaluable resource to this ministry, providing a “home away from home” for many students attending San Antonio College, a forum for relevant and interesting programs, fellowship, worship and prayer, and a place where local church partners can be in ministry to and among students.
