Transformation training sessions slated for
Three Rivers, Corpus Christi Nov. 2-3

Church Transformation Training workshops with Dr. Don Nations have been scheduled for Nov. 2-3.
First UMC, Three Rivers, is playing host to the Nov. 2 workshops.
St. John’s UMC, Corpus Christi, is the site for Nov. 3.
Daytime sessions are open only to the 28 churches in the Corpus Christi District that are enrolled in the four-year Church Transformation process.
Nov. 2 is to feature training sessions for laypeople from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Pastors are welcome to attend.
The Nov. 2 evening workshop on hospitality, led by Nations, is open to all churches in the district and is to run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Topics Nov. 3 in Corpus Christi will be for pastors and for people involved in student/youth ministry.

Nations is the founder of DNA Coaching. Supported by specialists in education, research, statistics and analysis, he coordinates the ministry of DNA Coaching and serves as its lead coach.
Nations is the senior pastor of Edgewater (Fla.) UMC and the director of the South Sarasota Teaching Parish—a cooperative parish ministry focused on transforming two congregations and providing continuing education for the strengthening of ministry.
Nations has planted a church and led successful transformation efforts in previous appointments.
Nations has extensive training in church consulting, church planting, assessment and coaching leaders. He has led seminars and workshops on small group leadership, financial planning, advertising and marketing, starting new worship services, and many other subjects.
Nations will be assisted by David Stewart, part of the DNA coaching team.
Stewart has served as a student ministry director since June 15, 1985. He created the Crosswalk Student Ministry model. The Web site—CrosswalkStudentMinistry.com—will soon allow other youth groups to develop their own version of CS.

There will be two tracks on this day—one for pastors and one for people involved in student (youth) ministry. Nations will lead the day-long workshop for pastors, and Stewart will lead the morning and afternoon workshops for people involved in student ministry.
