Clergy Appreciation fete set
for Nov. 10 at Harlingen church
To celebrate Clergy Appreciation Month, the McAllen District is planning an appreciation dinner for all district clergy members (active and retired), along with their spouses and guests, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in Harlingen.
The dinner will be at the Raymond Christian Center of First UMC
at 321 E. Harrison St.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by The Celebration Brass Choir of Harlingen and humorist Howard Tozzo.
Door prizes and goodie bags will round out the evening. Childcare will be provided. Please RSVP to the District Office no later than Nov. 7.
Pastors/professionals meeting
slated for Nov. 28 in Mission
The next Pastors/Professionals meeting for the McAllen District will be Nov. 28 at First UMC, Mission, at 9 a.m. Guest speakers will be Jennifer Sample from the Methodist Mission Home and the Rev. Randall Hilburn. He is to give information about the deaf ministry in Northern Mexico.
The Rev. Larry Howard is to provide information on grant writing. The meeting will conclude with lunch. It costs $5 per person.
