Conference offers $10,000 for studies
The Southwest Texas Conference Board of Ordained Ministry offers a scholarship of $10,000 a year for full-time seminary education.
Criteria for selection are financial need, prior academic performance and promise for long-term service in the conference. Applicants must be candidates for ordained ministry.

Application deadline is April 1.


Men’s Day slated for Jan. 29 at Wesley UMC

Jan. 29 will be Men’s Day for United Methodist Men at Wesley UMC, Austin.
Theme for this year’s celebration will be “Men Persevering to Serve God.” The program, planned and conducted by the men, was developed from Hebrews 10:22-23.
Guest speaker will be Bishop Donald O. Clay Jr. of Petra International Ministries Inc. The Men’s Chorus of Wesley will provide music. All are invited to attend.
The day’s events will begin with worship at 10 a.m. The church is at 1164 San Bernard St., Austin.
