Bulverde UMC gets matching
grant for LED church sign

Bulverde UMC received a $13,000 Igniting Ministry matching grant Dec. 29 from the General Commission on Communication in Nashville, Tenn.
The money is to help pay for a $50,812 LED church sign along U.S. 281 north of San Antonio. That sign must permanently display the United Methodist slogan: “Open hearts, open minds, open doors.”
Members of Bulverde UMC are to attend Igniting Ministry welcoming training. The communications agency is encouraging the church to become a certified welcoming congregation.
