United Methodist Women
to sponsor Lenten retreat
The Southwest Texas United Methodist Women are to sponsor a Lenten retreat March 3 through 5 at Mount Wesley Conference Center, Kerrville. This spiritual growth retreat is based on the theme “Resurrection Women.”
The event is to include worship, singing, quiet time, crafts, fun and fellowship to enhance the season of Lent.
The spiritual leaders are to be Geneva Foote of the Oklahoma Indian Conference and Cheryl Felder from the New Mexico Conference. Both are members of the core planning group of the South Central Jurisdiction United Methodist Women.
The cost of $115 per person includes registration, dormitory style lodging for two nights, grounds and insurance fees, and four meals.
Because the retreat is a time apart, no child care will be available. Teens age 12 and older would enjoy the event with their chaperones.
The registration deadline to avoid late fees is Feb. 16.
Check-in begins Friday evening at 5 p.m. The first session begins at 7 p.m. Friday dinner is on your own.
The event ends before lunch Sunday.
Bring your Bible, a picture of yourself, single bed linens, blanket, bath linens, toiletries, casual shoes and clothes, jacket, and a flashlight.
