Work camp prepares for 13th year

Sea City Work Camp is preparing for its 13th year refurbishing homes in the Corpus Christi area. The 2005 theme is “Whom Shall I Send? … Send Me!” (Isaiah 6:8).
Each work camp is sponsored by a United Methodist congregation in the Corpus Christi District:
> June 12-17—Wesley UMC with room for 60 campers.
> June 19–24—Grace UMC with room for 100 campers.
> June 26-July 1—First UMC, Portland, with room for 90 campers.
Number of campers is limited by capacity of the facility.
Since 1993, Sea City Work Camp has been rebuilding lives as well as houses, breaking down the barriers of prejudice and spreading the good news of the Gospel by being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
More than 300 teenagers and adult volunteers each summer experience “being” Jesus to others by refurbishing homes for nearly 100 families.
Cost for youth campers is $150; for adults, $50. For additional information and applications, go to www. seacityworkcamp.com.
