12 congregations to send women to March 18-20 Alamodome event

Women from at least 12 Southwest Texas congregations plan to attend the Women of Faith Conference March 18-20 at San Antonio’s Alamodome.
Congregations reportedly sending contingents to the gathering include Bethany UMC, Austin; First UMC, Boerne; Buda UMC; Gaddis Memorial UMC, Comfort; Grace UMC, Corpus Christi; First UMC, Gonzales; Lytle UMC; Northern Hills UMC, San Antonio; Northwest Hills UMC, San Antonio; St. Matthew’s UMC, San Antonio; University UMC, San Antonio; and Universal City UMC.
Started in the mid-1990s, Women of Faith conferences are reportedly the largest women’s gathering in North America. More than 2 million women have taken part.
In most cases, women are to meet March 18 at church parking lots and drive to the Alamodome together.
