Biblical characters remember Crucifixion during Lenten dramas

Wesley UMC, 3915 Gollihar, Corpus Christi, began presenting a series of Wednesday Lenten dramas this week.
The four-week series, called “In the Shadow of the Cross,” dramatizes the return of various biblical figures to the cross the day after the Crucifixion.
The characters share their thoughts about and memories of the day Jesus died.
The dramas are presented at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with sandwiches and soup to follow. There is no charge.
These people are to tell their stories:
> Feb. 23—Mary, mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdalene, portrayed by Micky Bost and Glenda Sanders.
> March 2—Pontius Pilate, portrayed by Joe Loter.
> March 9—Two Roman soldiers, portrayed by Mike Shirah and Steve Utley.
> March 16—The Thief’s Daughter, portrayed by Jackie Rupke.
