Fourteen students from Southwest Texas Conference congregations are attending college this academic year on scholarships from the Texas United Methodist College Association.
Listed by school, the students are:

Scholarships, supported by an annual $114,505 apportionment, can be used at six United Methodist-related schools in Texas.
“With TUMCA funds being restricted solely to TUMCA scholarships, every congregation in the Southwest Texas Conference can be assured that their TUMCA apportionment is directly linked to a deserving United Methodist young person,” said retired Bishop Dan E. Solomon, association president.
All students, as well as the board and staff of TUMCA, are profoundly grateful to all the congregations of the Southwest Texas Conference for their faithful support of the college association apportionment, Solomon said.
The association’s mission is to help “Texas United Methodist students attend Texas United Methodist colleges and universities.”
