4 Southwest Texas churches welcome pastors

Three Southwest Texas Conference congregations have welcomed new pastors since the start of 2005.
A fourth congregation, St. John UMC, Rio Grande City, received a new pastor Dec. 1.
Patricia H. Buck, a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister, succeeded Pastor Susan Hub-bard at St. John. She died Aug. 21.
Bishop Joel N. Martinez has made the following pastoral changes since Jan. 1:
> Dick Marine, part-time pastor of Christoval UMC, added Eden UMC to has charge March 1. He replaces Carolyn A. Reed, who withdrew from The United Methodist Church Dec. 31.
> Kyle R. Toomire, an unap-pointed licensed local pastor, joined the staff of First UMC, Austin, Jan. 1 as associate pastor.
> John Fletcher, an unappointed licensed local pastor, joined the staff of Bandera UMC Jan. 1 as associate pastor.
