Contents listed for health, school kits
Here are the requirements for health and school kits requested for the May 15 District Conference. The kits are used in places where people do not have ready access to many supplies essential for everyday life. The district program office will coordinate the packaging and will pay for shipping these items.
Please follow the directions exactly. Include all the items; do not add items not on the lists. Extra gifts, though given with the best of intentions, render a kit unusable and must be removed. Note: All items sent must be new.
Health kit: basic necessities for people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. Health kits are also used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition and cooking classes. When people gain the knowledge and materials to maintain personal hygiene, their overall health improves.

School kit: resources for education for a variety of ages. In some countries, children don’t have books or school supplies. Many have no schoolrooms; classes are held in inadequate or half-destroyed buildings, tents or the open air. Often students must write down everything the teacher says or records on a board. Their teachers’ knowledge and students’ own notes are their only textbooks.
