Youth director needed

Emmanuel UMC, Austin, is seeking a part-time youth director to lead and coordinate ministries that reach 25 to 30 young people weekly. The ideal candidate must have a sense of God’s call to youth ministry and must be able to guide youths into a deeper relationship with our Lord.
The youth director will lead Wednesday night Bible study; coordinate, delegate, motivate and communicate with youth coordinators within Emmanuel UMC; plan group activities for 6th through 12th graders; attend summer camp in June/July, and potentially spring and fall youth retreats; assist in fund-raising projects; develop programs that encourage spiritual growth; and develop new youth-based community outreach programs.
Previous experience preferred but not required. Musical ability preferred but not necessary. Some Spanish helpful but not necessary. Must work eight to 10 hours a week. Monthly salary is $400. Criminal background checks will be conducted on qualified candidates.
