Single adults invited to citywide picnic
A citywide United Methodist potluck picnic is planned for single adults April 19 at 2 p.m. Friends, children and family members are welcome.
The picnic will be on the southwest side of the State Capitol. If it’s raining, the group will gather in the covered picnic table area at the Stephen F. Austin Building, a few blocks north of the Capitol at 1700 N. Congress Ave.

Pastor’s book group to meet April 28
The Austin District book discussion group meets Friday, April 28, at noon in the District Office.
The book to be discussed is Presence: An Exploration of Profound Change in People, Organizations and Society by Peter Sage and Betty Sue Flowers.
