Asbury UMC, Corpus Christi, to play host to live simulcast with author Beth Moore

A live simulcast has been scheduled with Beth Moore, best-selling Christian author, May 15 at Asbury UMC, Corpus Christi.
Moore will lead thousands in a nationwide Bible study. The Christian author will deliver a message to an estimated 50,000 women from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Local residents will have the opportunity to see the popular Christian speaker live without leaving Corpus Christi.
Through a partnership with LifeWay Church Resources and Asbury UMC, a simulcast will broadcast live via satellite from World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Some 160 congregations across the United States, including Asbury, are participating as host churches.
The simulcast event is in conjunction with the Living Proof Live event in Colorado Springs.
While an estimated 8,000 will be live in Colorado Springs, simulcast technology is able to reach five times as many women across the nation.
“We are excited at the opportunity to partner with Asbury UMC in this endeavor,” said Gene Mims, vice president of LifeWay Church Resources. “It was a natural extension of LifeWay’s vision to provide biblical solutions that spiritually transform lives and communities.”
Valerie Caldwell, director of lay ministry at Asbury, said, “We have had the opportunity to participate in several Moore studies and are pleased to be able to host this unique event for the community.
“Beth Moore is an extraordinary teacher who inspires every learner, and we are looking forward to having Beth, live and in our church.”
