NOMADS volunteers offer help to needy in Rio Grande Valley communities

Each year we are blessed by volunteer teams that come to South Texas to share their gifts of service with our church.
The NOMADS who visit our area each year are a mission outreach ministry of The United Methodist Church through the Mission Volunteers program area of the General Board of Global Ministries.
NOMADS is an acronym for Nomads on a Mission Active in Divine Service.
The NOMADS program is specific to individuals, couples and families with recreational vehicles wishing to be involved in Christian service.
Started in 1988, this program has grown from three work projects with 20 members to more than 100 projects and 1,000 members. Participants work on a volunteer basis and receive no remuneration.
This year the NOMADS Office is requesting that we let them know about possible projects for next year earlier than usual.
Each year the NOMADS bless us with many gifts of service.
