From church to church

AMEN to San Juan UMC for beginning a worship service in Spanish. Sixteen families needed a larger place to worship and joined San Juan UMC with their own worship leaders. San Juan opened its doors to its neighbors.
AMEN to Los Fresnos UMC for beginning a worship service in Spanish. God sent a worship leader to the church. The congregation is reaching out to neighbors who needed to hear God’s word in Spanish.
AMEN to the McAllen District Communications Committee for getting the news out about our district to our communities. We wish to invite our neighbors to come and see what we are doing in God’s name, so a new invitational commercial will be ready for broadcast on TV soon.
AMEN for the work that goes into our district Web page. Helen Fen-imore, our webmaster, has created an easy-to-navigate Web site that is kept up to date. Please check it out at umcmcdistrict.com.
AMEN to the help our district has given to get a partnership with the Mexican government to provide a P.E.T. manufacturing plant across the border. The Personal Energy Transportation wheelchairs give the gift of mobility. This gift can now be distributed more easily without having to go through the process of sending them across the border.
