150 singles go to 1st gathering

More than 150 adult singles attended the first event organized by the Austin District Singles Council last month.
The event at Bethany UMC, Austin, drew singles from a wide age range and from various churches throughout the district. They enjoyed socializing, live music and refreshments.
Several local musicians donated their time and talent.
The council formed last fall to connect United Methodist singles ministries around Austin.
The council is planning future social and mission events and hopes to continue to see a positive response from the United Methodist singles community in Austin.
