St. Luke’s UMC uses homemade baskets
to show God’s love to children at Easter

Every Easter for almost 20 years, St. Luke’s UMC, Corpus Christi, remembers its neighbors with beautifully and lovingly prepared Easter baskets. They are delivered to children living in apartments and small houses on streets bordering the church.
Member Joyce Barnette and others she recruits make the baskets each year.
Volunteers filled 60 baskets this year with goodies and toys and delivered them to neighborhood children.
Evangelism is spreading the word of God, but the word is better sown when the ground is prepared with loving acts of kindness.
St. Luke’s loves to love its neighbors.
