Monthly concerts begin

Picnic for pastors, families
rescheduled for Aug. 8
The district family picnic for pastors and their families has been changed from Aug. 29 to Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m. The picnic will be at the home of the Rev. Thom Elliott, the First UMC, Rockport, parsonage. More information will be forthcoming.

Communications seminar
now scheduled for Aug. 23
Douglas Cannon, conference communications and public witness director, and his staff will be present at a communications seminar Aug. 23. This is a date change. In afternoon breakout sessions, there will be several other presenters on topics you have requested. The seminar will be at First UMC, Corpus Christi, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The charge will be $20 for early bird registrations sent in by Aug. 1 and $25 for registrations thereafter. The deadline for registration is Aug. 15.
