District churches can participate
in new process for revitalization
The Corpus Christi District has entered into a contract with Don Nations of DNA Coaching to provide expertise for church revitalization through the Congregational Transformation Process.
Use of this process and the expert coaching of Don Nations has begun transformation in the churches of the McAllen District over the past three years.
Year-end statistics demonstrated that the McAllen District had the highest percentage change in professions of faith and worship attendance in 2005, both signs of increased vitality.
At annual conference, each pastor in the district will receive a packet containing the Congregational Transformation Survey. Each church will have sufficient time to complete this survey and return it to the district superintendent by no later than Aug. 8 at the picnic for district professionals. By that time, churches interested in participating in the coaching process will enroll and pay the appropriate fee for the size of the congregation.
Don Nations will be in the district Sept. 11 through 15. During that week, he will travel with the district superintendent to cluster meetings and training sessions.
Begin now the process of prayer and spiritual discernment that will lead the churches of this district to embrace transformation for the sake of offering Christ to all.
