Gospel musical to benefit Habitat
“Smoke on the Mountain,” a rollicking southern gospel musical, will be performed next month at St. John’s UMC, Corpus Christi.
Performances are scheduled for June 3 and 4 at 8 p.m.; June 5 at 3 p.m.; and June 9, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. in fellowship hall, 5300 S. Alameda. The cast includes several performers from last year’s “Cotton Patch Gospel.”
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children. There will be free refreshment at intermission. Reserve your tickets through a member of St. John’s, or call the church office, (361) 991-4342.
Half the proceeds from the show and ads in the Play Bill will go toward the St. John’s UMC Habitat for Humanity house and half toward other church mission efforts.
Cost for a business-card sized ad in the Play Bill is $15. A quarter-page ad costs $25. For a half-page ad, the price is $50, with a full-page ad available for $100. Call Suzy Shepherd at the church (361) 991-4342 to place ads.
