Kyle UMC breaks ground April 29
for addition to double plant size

Members of Kyle UMC broke ground for a Family Life Center April 29.
The building, which will more than double the size of church facilities, is to provide classroom, nursery, office and fellowship space. The room is needed to help the congregation keep its commitment to be in ministry to the Kyle community.
The church was organized in 1880 and still worships in its original sanctuary, built in 1887.
But the church is not about buildings. Members believe they serve a living Lord and that the life of the church can be found in its members. Members don’t claim to be perfect or to have all the answers, but they know that the source of their forgiveness, mercy and hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind” and “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37, 39). Therefore, Kyle UMC is focused on the worship of God
and ministering to his children.
But the church doesn’t limit its definition of God’s children to a privileged few. The church attempts to minister to all those in need within our community and beyond. Members take to heart Jesus’ command: “Do not judge lest you be judged” (Matthew 7:1), recognizing that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Kyle UMC is dedicated to helping families with children grow in Christ. We invite everyone to come grow with us.
The members of Kyle UMC take this opportunity to praise and thank God for both the blessings he has poured out upon this congregation and for allowing it to be a blessing to the Kyle community.
