Ministries offer service,
fellowship for single adults

Whether you are a college student, young professional, older single adult or single parent, there’s a place for you in an Austin District congregation.
The following churches, listed on the district Web site (www.umcad.org), offer singles opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship and fun. For information, go to the district Web site or contact the church.
> Bethany UMC, 10010 Anderson Mill Road, offers Sunday school classes and activities. The church has a divorce recovery program. Go to www. bethany-umc.org, or call (512) 258-6017.
> Covenant UMC, 4410 Duval Road, has a single adults program and Sunday school based on Jeremiah 29:11. Go to www.covenantaustin.org, or call (512) 346-3124.
> First UMC, 1201 Lavaca St., Austin, invites single adults to work in the church’s kitchen to prepare breakfast for homeless people. There are also Sunday school classes. Go to www. fumcaustin.org, or call (512) 478-5684.
> Northwest Hills UMC, 7050 Village Center Drive, has weekly lunches in addition to Sunday school classes. There is a divorce recovery program. Go to www.nwhillsumc.org, or call (512) 345-1743.

> First UMC, 500 E. Pecan St., Pflugerville, offers weekly Sunday school and monthly lunches at area restaurants. Call (512) 251-2575.
> University UMC, 2409 Guada-lupe St., presents a “midweek mystery tour.” In addition to Sunday school classes, students operate the Fig Leaf Store. That’s a clothing and small-appliance pantry for homeless people. Go to www.uumc.org, or call (512) 478-9387.
