Bethany UMC, Austin, seeks nursery administrator.
This position manages Nursery Ministry for Bethany.
Responsible for the childcare services during worship services and programs throughout the week. Develops a nursery community, caring for the spiritual development of children, parents and caregivers. Responsible for recruiting, training and managing a paid staff of 30 to 40 part-time nursery workers, both adult and student. Provides schedules, curriculum, materials and equipment to support this ministry. Supervises the Worship Care Coach and Program Care Coach.
Must communicate effectively with the children’s pastor, the nursery leadership team, and care receivers to ensure a thriving nursery community of quality care and support for young children and families.
Requires childcare experience and three to five years of industrial or commercial business or education experience.
This is a part-time paid position of 20 hours a week, reporting to the pastor to children. A full job description is available at bethany-umc.org.

The New Life Institute, a non-profit professional counseling center affiliated with The United Methodist Church, has an immediate opening for an office manager.
This is a half-time position during daytime hours, usually 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We are seeking a mature individual who has experience in general office work and who has excellent communication skills. A good candidate for us will be a reliable and responsible person who is able to engage this calling with sensitivity to the needs of our organization, staff and clientele.
Major duties will require competence in the following areas: phones, filing, minor bookkeeping, computer use (i.e. data entry/accounting), organizational skills, client and staff relations, etc.
Perhaps most importantly, we are seeking someone who is nurturing and has a positive attitude. This position is integral to the operation of our organization.
