Because of a transcribing error, the front page story in the June 8 issue, “Bishop urges leaders to tell Christian story so kids will know God,” misquoted Bishop Joel N. Martinez. He actually said the church grows by testimony, not planning. Faith is transmitted from heart to heart as believers share the story of God’s grace.

Because of a proofreading error, the identification line under the front page picture of the Rev. Thomas L. Loftin in the June 8 issue misspelled his last name. His name was spelled correctly in the accompanying story, “8 clergy members retire today in Corpus Christi.”
