3 Southwest Texans graduate
from Episcopal school
Three United Methodists from Southwest Texas received degrees May 17 from Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin.
John A. Lee III, who came to the seminary from Alamo Heights UMC, San Antonio, received a master of divinity degree. He was commissioned June 4 as a probationary elder in the Southwest Texas Conference and appointed as pastor of Parita UMC, Adkins.
Deana Kirby of First UMC, Austin, earned a master of arts in counseling degree.
Pamela Traver of Fredericksburg UMC was awarded a master of arts in pastoral ministry degree.
A fourth United Methodist, Debra Knox Sackreiter of Wellsping UMC, Georgetown (Central Texas Conference), was also part of the graduating class. She received a master of arts in pastoral ministry degree.
Besides the four United Methodists, the graduating class included five Lutherans and 33 Episcopalians.
