Camel is draw to VBS

What if you rode a camel to Vacation Bible School?
Hannah the camel was one of a pair of camels who joined 521 children and 272 volunteers (112 youths and 160 adults) on a treasure dig at Bethany UMC, Austin, June 12 through 16.
“Adventure of the Treasure Seekers: Exploring God’s Promises,” the VBS curriculum, taught kids to find, live and share God’s promise of Jesus with others. Attending Thursday evening’s worship celebration were 954 people. The children led prayer, songs and puppet dialogue, followed by an open house across the campus.
Children brought a record-breaking 4,090 items for mission outreach for Hill Country Community Ministries.
We are contributing VBS curriculum and staff support consisting of 14 youths and adults to the Good Neighbor Settlement House in Brownsville July 30 through Aug. 4, as well as giving VBS curriculum to other churches in the area.
