Wimberley UMC recently launched a paper recycling location for the Wimberley community.
The effort, an act of stewardship of God’s creation, has brought many people from the community onto church grounds. Proceeds from recycling are to provide tuition scholarships for the Mother’s Day Out Program. 
Fact: The average person in the United States generates four pounds of garbage each day, or 1,460 pounds per year.
Fact: Each year people in the United States throw away enough office and writing paper to build a 12-foot
wall from New York City to Los Angeles.
Fact: Forty percent of everything in a landfill is paper.
