District pastor writes lessons for Bible study

An Austin District pastor has written the Old Testament survey for the fall issue of Adult Bible Studies.
The Rev. John Hargis, pastor of Leander UMC, prepared the 13-week curriculum to follow the ecumenical Uniform Lesson Series of Bible studies. It is used in Sunday school classes around the world.
Hargis prepared weekly commentaries with study questions for September through November about covenants in the Old Testament.
Adult Bible Studies is the most widely circulated curriculum resource produced the United Methodist Publishing House.
Hargis has been the pastor of the 276-member Leander congregation for three years. The fall lessons are his third Sunday school book and 10th publication by the Publishing House.
