Church Transformation events scheduled for fall

Dr. Don Nations is to be in the Corpus Christi District for two weeks this fall—Sept. 4-8, and Oct. 2-6. These special training weeks will be attended by pastors and laypeople from the 28 churches in the district participating in the Church Transformation Process.
The schedule for coaching, support and training events has been set as follows:
Cluster Group Meetings—Sept. 4, 5, 6 and Oct. 2, 3, 4.
Pastors of CTP churches are asked to bring one layperson from their churches to the meetings. Each church is to have time for individual coaching and support from Nations. Pastors have received information regarding the cluster group, date, location and time for each church.
Appointments for individual churches will be available Sept. 7 and Oct. 5. Pastors who wish to schedule an appointment should contact Sheila Campbell at the District Office for a time to meet with Nations.
Saturday Training Events for Laity and Clergy: CTP Churches are encouraged to send as many laypeople as possible.
Sept. 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., St. Luke’s UMC, Corpus Christi.
Topic: Creating a Positive, Creative Leadership Environment.
Oct. 6, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., First UMC, Beeville.
Topic: Ministry Planning and Mapping.
