70 families attend Aug. 8 district picnic in Rockport

 

More than 70 pastors and their families attended the Corpus Christi District professionals meeting and family picnic Aug. 8 in Rockport.
The Rev. Thom Elliott, pastor of First UMC, Rockport, and his wife, Kathy, played host to the gathering at the Rockport parsonage.
Besides enjoying food and fellowship, the district welcomed seven new clergy families:
> Barbara and Karim Aziz, First UMC, Bishop.
> John and Betty Britsch, Dewville UMC.
> Carolyn and James Chandler, Jones Chapel UMC, Beeville.
> Alan and Susan Delafield, Asbury UMC, Corpus Christi.
> Sharon Freeto and Bill Irwin, First UMC, Nixon.
> Michael Mumme, Faith United Church, Woodsboro.
> J. Gordon and Clarice Talk, First UMC, Aransas Pass.
