Conference UM Women to meet in district

Southwest Texas Conference United Methodist Women are to gather at First UMC, Corpus Christi, Oct. 7 and 8.
Registration begins at 5 p.m. Friday evening in the Fellowship Hall at First UMC, Corpus Christi. A celebration banquet is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Emerald Beach, just across the street from the church. Bishop Joel N. Martinez and his wife, Raquel, are to bring a special message and close our evening with Holy Communion.
Please make banquet reservations early. We must guarantee a number to the caterers by Sept. 22.
The business session is to begin Saturday at 8:45 a.m. in the First UMC sanctuary and end at about 1 p.m. This abbreviated schedule is in response to many evaluations, so be sure to let us know how you like it. The church is to provide a sandwich box lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Cost for this meal is $6.
Registration is $20 for anyone attending any portion of the business meeting (except for guests of registrants for the banquet). Teen registration is $5.
