Walk through Bible
travels to Holy Land

First UMC, Harlingen, offers a chance next month to journey to the Holy Land without leaving your seat.
Church members invite anyone in Rio Grande Valley communities to join them in a Walk Through the Bible event Sept. 10.
Participants are to experience the unlocking of 4,000 years of Godly wisdom in five memorable hours, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tom Hull and Jerry Hensley are to be hosts for the journey, which will include drama and music.
Together we will learn hand signs, do group reviews, and hear humorous anecdotes and memorable phrases that will help us gain vast amounts of Old Testament wisdom.
Each person is to receive a beautifully illustrated notebook, which contains a 30-day devotional.
The cost for the day is $15 for adults and $5 for children, which includes a spaghetti lunch and snacks at two breaks.
The entire family can enjoy this event, with separate seminars for adults, teens and children in grades 1 through 6. Activities for children age 3 to 5 and a free nursery are included at no cost.
Financial help is available for families who may need assistance.
Contact First UMC, Harlingen, at (956) 423-0540 for more information and to reserve your seat.
