Valley Praise offers service in park Oct. 15 for Harlingen community

Valley Praise, an off-site contemporary praise service of First UMC, Harlingen, is playing host to a “Praise in the Park” event Oct. 15 at the Harlingen Sports Complex on Wilson Road.
All churches are invited to attend.
There will be a barbecue, and the church’s praise band will play.
Worship is scheduled under the pavilion at 10 a.m., with music and food following at 12:30 p.m.
Valley Praise normally has Sunday services at Gutierrez Middle School in Harlingen.
The church relies heavily on rock music, forms of multimedia and video clips to connect with today’s younger crowd.
