Fall ’05 meetings for pastors slated
Pastors, please reserve these mornings for professionals meetings. Interesting programs are planned for each. We look forward to seeing you at each one. Meetings will be on Thursdays.
> Oct. 20, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Island in the Son UMC, Corpus Christi.
> Nov. 17, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., First UMC, Corpus Christi.

Beth Moore event to be simulcast
Asbury UMC, Corpus Christi, is to be the site Oct. 7 and 8 for a Living Proof live simulcast featuring Beth Moore. The event begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. Oct. 8. Doors open one hour before the program.

S/P-PRC members: Ask DS anything
Staff/Pastor-Parish Relations chairs and committee members (current and incoming 2006) are invited to ask District Superintendent Barbara Ruth everything you’ve always wanted to ask at a Sept. 27 meeting just for you.
At the meeting, we will:
> Consider all forms you are required to complete each fall: compensation, evaluation and consultation.
> Consider an evaluation process.
> Talk about how pastoral appointments are made.
> Have lots of time for questions and discussions so we can learn from each other.
The session is to run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Grace UMC, 11222 Leopard St., Corpus Christi. Snacks will be provided, or you may bring your own supper.
Please let Cheryl Worley, district program director, know how many to expect from your church so we can prepare sufficient handouts.
