Youths worship, plan
2006 events at rally

McAllen District youths had a rally at First UMC, Harlingen, Sept. 10.
The bands Only Everywhere from St. Mark UMC, McAllen, and Undeniable Faith from First UMC, Harlingen, led in worship.
We were challenged by speaker Phil Hoflinger to pray: Just try it, and let God do the rest. District Youth t-shirts were on sale for $5. We collected $50.54 for Hurricane Katrina relief.
Dates for the boys’ Chrysallis were announced, and the Camp Thicket Midwinter date was discussed. The Rev. Rusty Freeman, Southwest Texas Conference youth ministries director, was there to share dates of the conference’s Midwinter camps and other activities.
The District Council on Youth Ministry is planning a Christmas share event for Dec. 11. More info will follow.
