Quarterly district
UMM meeting set
The Austin District United Methodist Men are to gather Nov. 12 at Covenant UMC, Austin. The guest speaker is to be Jay Cooper, district youth director.
The men of Covenant UMC are to provide breakfast. You can expect great fellowship and great Methodist singing. The gathering is to conclude with the serving of Holy Communion.
Covenant UMC is at 4410 Duval Road in Austin. Registration and coffee begin at 7:30 a.m. All men and young men are invited.
Bring white socks for support of A.R.C.H. (Austin Resource Center for the Homeless).

Gospel Music Fest
slated for Oct. 29
Mark your calendars for the Gospel Music Festival, sponsored by the Austin Chapter of the Huston-Tillotson University International Alumni Association. The festival is scheduled for Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.
Soloist Deborah Duncan Hurdle and musical renditions by the Bells of Joy, the Gospel Stars, the Rev. N. W. Bacon and the James Polk Gospel Quartet are to highlight the evening. 
The festival is to be in the Kings-Seabrook Chapel at Huston-Tillotson University, 900 Chicon St., Austin.
Tickets cost $25 and may be purchased from any Austin Chapter Alumni member or at the door.
