Book discussion
slated for Nov. 18


The Pastor’s Book Discussion group is to meet Nov. 18 at the District Office.
This month’s book is Wesley for Armchair Theologians by Billy Abraham.
The discussion starts at noon. Bring a sack lunch.
The Pastor’s Book Discussion Group meets every third Friday at noon at the District Office.

‘Balancing Act’ set
at Austin church


New Life Institute is to present a teaching video Nov. 15 at Tarrytown UMC, Austin.
“The Balancing Act“ featuring Peter Steinke, creator of the Healthy Congregation program, is an exploration of how systems theory is applied to congregation process.
The program runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Fee for the presentation is $10. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The 2006 My Job Workshop and Laity Celebration will be Feb. 11 at Northwest Hills UMC, 7050 Village Center Drive, Austin.
Bishop Joel N. Martinez and District Superintendent Robert Hall are scheduled to present the district’s annual awards.
