Pharr UMC plans fundraiser
to benefit outreach project
Pharr UMC is planning a fund-raiser Dec. 23 called “Family Comedy Night” at Cine El Rey Theater, 311 S. 17th St., McAllen. Outstanding Christian comedians from Austin are to be featured.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $15 per person.
Proceeds are to support the Pharr Community Outreach Project/Shalom ministries of the church. For more information call (956) 781-5539.

District parsonage open house
scheduled for Dec. 2 afternoon
All are invited to make a trip to Harlingen to see the new district parsonage during an open house Dec. 2.
In May a parsonage was purchased at 1427 Preston Trail in Harlingen. That’s about three miles from the District Office.
District trustees had the house refreshed before Larry and Mary Howards’ move-in date in early June.
The Howards are inviting all the congregations in the district to drop in for coffee and conversation between 1 and 7 p.m.
