District youths share
Christmas program, present gifts to area children in Alamo

The McAllen District Youth met Dec. 10 at San Pablo UMC, Alamo, to share in a Christmas program for children from the area around the church.
About 25 youths—from La Feria UMC; First UMC, Harlingen; and First UMC, McAllen—came together to celebrate Christmas with prayer, songs, games and storytelling with more than 50 children from the community.
The Rev. Carlos Zamora, Robert Elizondo and youths of San Pablo UMC played host. San Pablo is the Rio Grande Conference congregation.
Children were invited from the families served each month by the Food Pantry at San Pablo UMC.
Youths and children divided into groups for games and then came back together to take turns enacting the Christmas story. They shared refreshments and did some singing. The children were each given a traditional Mexican Christmas Bag filled with an orange, peanuts and candy.
The district youths distributed books and a drawing board for each child. McAllen District youths are blessed to be able to share in this annual activity during the Christmas Season.
¡Feliz Navidad from the McAllen District youths!
