Pharr UMC Advent Craft Event
brings various generations together

Pharr UMC’s second annual Family Advent Craft Event after worship Dec. 10 offered families the opportunity to share a light lunch, then participate in making various Christmas crafts. Those included beaded ornaments, nativity decorations, door hangers and Crismons.
Youths particularly enjoyed making gingerbread houses, although sometimes it seemed that more of the frosting went onto their hands than onto the houses. Younger children favored painting wooden ornaments, with more paint on them than on the ornaments.
The annual intergenerational event brings together in an informal setting members who might not have other opportunities for fellowship and helps build relationships between different cultures and ages.
