3 join Methodist Healthcare staff

San Antonio-based Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas Inc. added three executives to its leadership team last month.
Roy A. Phillips was hired as the director of Wesley Nurse Health Ministries. This community health and wellness initiative has 70 Wes-ley Nurses in United Methodist churches throughout Southwest Texas. Phillips has 28 years of nursing experience, including 20 years of military service.
Grace Van Brandt is now director of human resources. She is responsible for the nearly 200 corporate and field personnel carrying out the Methodist Healthcare Ministries mission. She brings more than 15 years of corporate experience as a senior-level human resources generalist in area corporations.
Oanh Maroney was promoted to fill the newly created position of director of community programs. She has responsibility for Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ Parenting Programs and the community outreach programs offered through the Community Center of Wesley at Columbia Heights.
Methodist Healthcare Ministries is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 and related to the Southwest Texas Conference.
The healthcare organization co-owns the 25-facility Methodist Healthcare System of San Antonio, over which it has local governance.
Methodist Healthcare Ministries is the largest nonprofit private provider of health care services to the indigent in South Texas.
Since 1995 the organization has provided $37 million in funding to healthcare services serving more than 300,000 clients.
