Children's Summer Camp
Children’s Summer Camps 2010

Children attend camp to relax and experience God’s creation,
love and grace through outdoor activities, crafts, scripture activities,
music, art & drama, and guided play. Adults attend camp to serve
children and receive all of the above!

The Conference Council on Children’s Ministries offers camps for children in 3 age levels at Mount Wesley Retreat Center in Summer 2010. Choose the camp according to the grade that you will be entering in the fall. Camp activities include Bible fun, hands-on activities, swimming & making new friends.

How to Serve a Children’s Camp

YOU can serve! YOU can minister to children!

Volunteer Adult Staff
are welcome to apply to serve a camp by contacting the dean. Use God’s gift of creativity, love for children and enjoy the great outdoors. Those who exhibit Christian values and exemplary mentoring become partners in ministry with ministerial camp staff. Please pray about your service. Background checks required. Camp fees are complimentary.

Volunteer Junior Staff age limit is 5 years above the camper age level. Use your gift of working with children and love for God’s great outdoors. Discern God’s call to the ministry. Please pray about your service. Pastor’s reference letter required. Camp fees are complimentary.

Adult Chaperone is a member of a local congregation who accompanies 8 or more children to the same camp. The sponsor remains at camp and is willing to assist camp staff as needed in children’s activities as well as overnight cabin supervision. Sponsor or church cover fees. Background checks required.

Camperships - Your gift in any amount will provide for campers & families who need monetary support. Mark your check memo “Children’s Campership Advance #2021.” Make check payable “Treasurer, SWTC” and mail to 16400 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78248-1693. Gifts are tax deductible. Thank you!

A church can sponsor a child for camp through Advance Special #2021 and move toward Five Star Church status.

A UMW or UMM unit can sponsor children from their own or any church through a gift to the Advance Special #2021.

How to Register for Camps
