This offering can be taken on another date chosen by your church.
The General Board of Higher Education & Ministry funds scholarships based on a rebate resulting from the Annual Conference’s response to the United Methodist Student Day Offerings (UMSDO). Give to the United Methodist Student Day Offering at your local United Methodist Church and help support the brightest young stars in United Methodism. .

Merit Awards The Southwest Texas Conference Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry awards merit scholarships using the funds received from the United Methodist Student Day offering. It should be understood that merit can be in terms of Academic Scholarship, Church Involvement, Financial Need, Special Vocational Preparation for Ministry, or other service - or a combination of these factors, as may be determined by the annual conference board.

You can make a difference! How many scholarships are awarded, and the amount of those scholarships is directly dependent on the United Methodist Student Day offering received in the Southwest Texas Conference. Give to this Special Offering at your local United Methodist Church.

Congregations may choose a day other than November 27 to serve as United Methodist Student Day. If you do not see United Methodist Student Day at your local church, ask your pastor how you can give to this offering that changes the lives of our young people and creates a brighter future for the world.
