Mission in Laredo
One of the very best ways to experience the love of Christ is to reach out to others through mission work. Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley have long been popular destinations for mission teams. Recently, news of violence from across the border has caused concern for some mission teams. This video examines the reality of Laredo today and visits with both community leaders and mission team members.
2009 Children Summer Camps
The Children’s camp video gives the viewer a snapshot of what you might experience during a week at Mt. Wesley. It answers important questions for both children and their parents and helps get everyone excited about the Mt. Wesley experience.
Justice for our Neighbors
This video briefly illustrates the Justice for our Neighbors legal clinics at Pharr UMC and shows how this is an opportunity to be the hands of Christ in our communities. Justice for our Neighbors is a ministry sponsored by UMCOR that provides free legal assistance to anyone who has an immigration issue.

Bishop Schnase was at University UMC conducting a workshop on how to put his 5 practices into action.
Mariposa Mission
The Mariposa Mission was begun 4-5 years ago in Berclaire, TX by the members of Fannin UMC, a small country church outside Victoria. Berclaire is a very small 100 person community located between Goliad and Beeville. It is very poor. It has no school, store, or church. The nearest community is 15 miles away. Members from Fannin have been providing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and summer bible school for the families in Berclaire either “under the trees” or by driving them back to the Fannin church. As more churches are learning of the need and efforts from Fannin they are stepping up and assisting. They now have a loaned building and held a Thanksgiving meal and worship indoors in Berclaire for the first time.
